Bone, joint and muscle disorders are also known as musculoskeletal disorder. The musculoskeletal system of the body is composed of the body’s bone, the muscles, the tendons, bursas, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and other connective tissues.
The musculoskeletal system may be damaged or injured because of trauma or diseases. The symptom is usually associated with pain but not always. It may may be mild or severe, localized or diffused defending on the type of disorder.
Inflammation is another indicator of bone, joint or muscle disorder. This causes swelling, tendersness and warmth of the affected area and mostly associated with pain.
Muscle weakness is also an indicative of musculoskeletal disorder. This is the common symptom of muscle injury or disease. Joint stiffness is common with arthritis and other diseases. Other symptoms for bone, joint and muscle disorders may be the abnormal looseness of the joint (laxity) that may indicate torn ligaments, joint noises especially on the knee caps which may indicate osteoporosis, or through the restiriction in the joint range of motion which may be caused by other disorders such as stroke or paralysis.

When the problem is identified, alternative medicine may be used to treat, cure and prevent the recurrence of injury or disease.
